The Salevere trail is a 1.5 km out-and-back route on Salevere Salumägi in Matsalu National Park, where a ridge rises about a dozen metres above the surrounding ground. Species-rich alvar forest covers the ridge, while the relatively rare Estonian grove forest grows beneath the bank.
The long one-way trail requires arranging transport between the start and end points. Some floodplain sections are flooded in spring.
Seasonal access
Most recommended from May to September. Winter snow cover makes the trail more difficult.
